Built in the 1930′s, this large family home incorporated all the “built strong to last long” building methods, such as double brick walls throughout. Our aim was to create an abundance of living and entertaining space, where professional parents and growing teenagers have their own personal and working space, while still having areas where they can come together as a family.
Square footage was increased from 2,600 to 4,600. The property expansion began with a loft conversion. A “wrap around dormer” ensured maximisation of the potential space. 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office and a storage area were created.
Simultaneously, the ground floor was extended. The extension brought together the kitchen and living area, while at the same time creating dining/entertaining space. Floor to ceiling Bi-Folding doors enabled the garden to become part of the dinning/entertaining area and large skylights brought natural light.
Modernising began with complete concealed rewiring of power points, mood lighting, security, data cabling, audio/visual, intercom, fob entry system, CCTV, Control4 and entrance gates. Re-plumbing consisted of a new Boiler, Mega-Flo, Water Softener, under-floor heating and radiators.
A fully fitted kitchen, contemporary bathrooms, bespoke wardrobes, a new roof, new windows, external decoration, a low maintenance driveway and rear garden completed this property refurbishment.
The design process and completion of this luxury bathroom are a perfect example of CGI imagery accuracy. The images produced for the client, were delivered with such precision that it is difficult to identify which image is CGI and which is of the actually bathroom.
In one of London’s most affluent areas, this bathrooms purpose was to serve as an en-suite to the master bedroom, in a large sized, four level, family home. Luxurious Italian imported natural stone covered all floor space and walls. Taps of the finest elegant design were imported from the continent.
The shower area was also a steam room, and was fitted with an XL rainwater shower-head, body-jets, natural stone seating, a wet-room floor and double height glass doors on a hydraulic opening system.
The entire bathroom floor was warmed by under-floor heating, towels by chrome radiators and additional heating was supplied by flat panelled radiators which were decorated to complement the natural stone.
The sink and vanity enclosure were bespoke designs. Natural stone was carved to create a countertop with side panels, from which sinks were under-mounted. A draw unit was constructed, then internally divided and finally decorated to complement the natural stone.
When refurbishing this property, we created a dwelling which not only complemented the clients lifestyle, but enhanced it.
The latest in audio/visual, security and convenience technology have been implemented into every room of this apartment. The finest timber and natural stone were used to capture the essence of the natural elements. This combined with contemporary and minimalist design, give this property the prefect blend of warmth and modernism.
This modestly sized family home situated on a peaceful residential street required a complete renovation in order to cater for a young professional couple, who envisioned a home which reflected their ambition and would accommodate their future transition into a family.
Modernising began with a complete concealed rewiring and upgrading the heating system. The dated system of a water tank/cylinder was replaced with a combi boiler and new radiators. This enabled the expansion of the master bedroom, which previously housed the hot water cylinder. Loft storage was also increased by 50% with the removal of the water tank. New windows, exterior doors and loft insulation were implemented to ensure efficiency and reduced heating bills.
A fully fitted kitchen, contemporary bathrooms, tasteful decor, fitted wardrobes and bespoke storage solutions. Mood lighting, high specification audio/visual equipment, a monitored security system and a low maintenance garden completed the modernisation of this property.
